The official Anthony D'Avino website has been running for six years strong. We welcome you, and hope you enjoy your visit, and the world of Art presented to you by Anthony D'Avino. Since retiring from teaching, Mr. D'Avino has been pursuing his fine art career. At the Babylon council of the arts, Mr. D'Avino has won "best in show", for the past three years, consecutively. An article in L.I. Newsday, highlighted his career, and his work is now featured at the prestigious RVS Fine Art , gallery, on Jobs lane, in Southampton. The art league of Long Island, presented Mr. D'Avino, with the "award of excellence", in their annual art show. Mr. D'Avinos' work also appeared as the Christmas cover for Dans' Papers. For the annual twenty ninth annual "Symphony on the bay" concert, Mr. D'Avino created the poster for the New York Philharmonic, which is hosted by the Islip arts council. The poster outsold all the previous posters combined. Mr. D'Avinos' work, "the Walking Spaceman", was selected by Artist magazine, out of a field of eleven thousand, for inclusion in their 2007 calendar. The magazine is planning a "feature" article on Mr. D'Avinos' work, for early 2009. Most recently Mr. D'Avino designed the logo for "Borgo Medioevale", a Renaissance castle being built, for a South Carolina theme park...Mr. D'Avino also has been licensed by U.S. Television inc, who owns the rights to the Hopalong Cassidy rights, to design artwork for their museum. |
